The Humanitarian/White Cane Drive is the most important source of funds for the programs and services provided by the Lions of the North Carolina through the North Carolina Lions Foundation. It accounts for 49% of funds available to provide the services. District governors-elect, at the annual budget hearings in April, meet and pledge an amount to raise during their year as governor. This per-member, per-district pledge is called the NCLF Humanitarian/White Cane Drive.
