Fayetteville 2011

Located in Cumberland County, Fayetteville is best known as the home of Fort Bragg, a U.S. Army post located in the northwest part of the city. It is the fifth largest city in North Carolina with a population of more than 343,000. It was recently rated as the best place in North Carolina to retire. It also has been declared "The World's First Sanctuary for Military Familes." Time Magazine recognized Fayetteville for their support of military families and declared Fayetteville as America's most pro-military town. Fayetteville is located in Multiple District 31-F, which is the home district of Sid L. Scruggs III, the newly elected president of the International Association of Lions Clubs.
